Since 1937 Vandervelde
Protection has
been the leading Dutch company
in the field of cathodic protection, electrolytic water treatment and anti
fouling.
At first we concentrated our
efforts on the development of the Vandervelde electrolytic water treatment,
also known as the Guldager electrolytic system. This system prevents corrosion
and scaling in water-containing circuits, i.e. cold and warm supplies, central
heating and cooling water systems, steam boilers, de-aerators and feed tanks.
Later, thanks to a great deal of research and experimental work, the
Vandervelde anti fouling system was evolved.
This special technique prevents the growth of algae and shellfish in cooling
water systems.
After WWII Vandervelde Protection broadened its field of activities
to include cathodic protection of buried or submerged metal structures. It was
the first company in The Netherlands solely devoted to corrosion control by
cathodic protection. Since then, the company has designed and installed
CP-systems not only in The Netherlands but all over the world. The design,
installation and maintenance of cathodic
protection systems are nowadays the core business activities of the
company.
Also regarding DC and AC
interference measurements and mitigation Vandervelde
Protection has
played a leading role in The Netherlands and is nowadays internationally
active.
Vandervelde Protection
has certificates for ISO 9001 and VCA.
